Brands

Set up the brands you manage and switch the whole workspace between them.

A brand in Studio is one identity you create content for — a cafe, a restaurant, a sister label. Each brand gets its own content board, calendar, schedule, campaigns, events and asset library, so one brand’s work never muddles into another’s. Brands are private to your business — no one outside your organisation can see them.

The brand switcher

The brand switcher sits in the top bar on every page. Pick one brand to work on it alone, or All brands to see everything side by side.

The switcher filters the Pipeline board, the Approvals queue, My work, Calendar, Schedule, Campaigns, Events and Assets — so if a page looks emptier than you expected, check the switcher first. Your selection is remembered, even after you close the tab.

One exception: the brand-performance chart in Reports always shows every brand — comparing brands is the point of that report.

Add a brand

Adding, editing and deleting brands needs the manage-brands permission — that’s the Director, the Account Lead, or a tenant admin. Everyone else sees the brand list read-only.

  1. Open Settings. Go to Settings in the sidebar and find the Brands card.
  2. Press New brand. The form asks for a Name (required), plus an optional Handle (e.g. @kathacoffee), a one-or-two letter Glyph for the brand’s tile, and a Subtitle.
  3. Press Create brand. The brand appears in the brand switcher immediately — no reload needed.

Rename, edit or delete a brand

In SettingsBrands, each brand row has a pencil (edit) and a bin (delete) button for those who can manage brands. Editing changes the name, handle, glyph or subtitle everywhere at once.

Heads up: deleting a brand is permanent — it disappears from the switcher for everyone, and everything filed under it (its content, campaigns, events and assets) goes with it. There is no undo. If a brand has history you care about, rename or edit it instead of deleting it.

Creating content and brands

When you create content while viewing a specific brand, the new item belongs to that brand automatically — the brand field is pre-filled and locked.

When you create content under All brands, you must pick the brand yourself. The form won’t let you save until you’ve chosen one.

Instagram — tracking only for now

Studio tracks Instagram posts; it does not publish them. Your team posts on Instagram as usual, then records the post in Studio (marking it posted and pasting the post link), so the board and reports stay truthful.

For those who can manage brands, each brand row in SettingsBrands has an Instagram line with a Connect button (read-only viewers don’t see it). Connecting only lets Studio read insights for that account — it never posts on your behalf. If your workspace hasn’t been set up for it yet, the button is disabled and posts are simply tracked manually, which works fine. The Integrations card on the Settings page shows the same picture: Instagram is tracking-only, and publishing integrations come after v1.
