Reserve
Take table bookings from guests and run the floor: the host stand, the floor manager and the ops console, routed by role.
Reserve is Maska’s table booking module. Guests request a table on your own booking page, your team answers the request, and the same booking carries through to seating the party on the night.
There are two halves:
- The guest app, a public page where a guest books, and then, from the secure link in their own confirmation, asks for a change, cancels, and shows a QR at the door. See Booking as a guest.
- The staff app, one sign-in that opens one of three surfaces depending on what your role is and what you are standing at.
Three surfaces, one app
| Surface | Who opens it | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Host stand | Host | The door: today’s board, the floor map, seating, walk-ins, waitlist. |
| Floor manager | Floor manager | The floor at a glance, with quick actions on a table or a party. |
| Ops console | Manager | The desk: dashboard, planner, every reservation, guests, and setup. |
Reserve seeds three roles per outlet when it is switched on:
| Role | What it grants |
|---|---|
| Host | Take and amend bookings, seat, clear, and mark no-shows. |
| Floor manager | Runs the floor: full booking and seating control, without floor plan, settings or reports. |
| Manager | Full Reserve access, including the floor plan, settings, reports and guest contact details. |
A role opens its own surface and every surface below it, so a manager can step down and work a shared host-stand tablet, while a host can never climb to the ops console. The account menu carries a view as switcher for exactly that. Your device narrows it further: the ops console needs a real screen, so a manager on a phone is stepped down rather than given a console that will not fit.
Guest phone numbers and email addresses are a separate permission. A manager sees them. A host sees the party name, the party size and the allergen notes, which is what the door needs, and not a contact list.
The outlet switcher
Reserve is per outlet. The switcher at the top of the staff app picks which one you are working, and the app remembers it on that device. If your account is assigned to no Reserve outlet, the app says so rather than showing you an empty floor.
